Problem-Solving – The Flip Side of Moths

herbs

The flip side of moths is the damage many can cause if they get into your cupboards or drawers. I once found  a cherished wool sweater ruined by moths. A few years later my pantry became infested with moths, and I ended up throwing all dry goods and pasta away.

Three herbs I grow in my garden are good moth repellents. Bundled with a rubber band, rosemary, lavender and sage,  hung inside a cupboard or laid in a drawer, will work as a moth repellent.

  1. Hi Kathy,
Thanks for sharing this. I like the natural moth repellent that you advised. Kathy, maybe you have German origins- I am not sure but if you do, surely you must know how to make sauerkraut ? If yes, can you please share your recipe ? Apologies for using up your time and your space but I would really appreciate this.
    Thank you,
    Susie

    1. Hi Susie, I don’t know how to make sauerkraut, but yes, I do have a bit of Germany & Bavaria, in my background. I also have a lot of many other lands from past ancestors. I am a real mix of different nationalities. When I go on vacation, and people don’t know where I am from, at first glance they think I am Canadian or British.
