Phlowers – Catmint ( Nepeta)

I love my Catmint plant.  I’ve featured it as my Flower of the Day in the past blog posts, but right now it is glorious and deserves another look.

The best way I can describe the lavender-blue flowers of my plant is to say they are a cafeteria for buzzy pollinators. The whole plant is vibrating with bees and hoverflies collecting the pollen and nectar.

Catmint is part of Cee’s Flower of the Day.

I love growing mint. The fragrance, using it in teas, drying it…so many fun things to do with it. I hope you can find some Arlene.

Hi Susie, Yes, they do, sometimes I will come outdoors and find a cat-sized dent in it where a happy neighborhood cat has relaxed and enjoyed the scent. The plant is amazing, any damage is quickly reversed and it springs right back. Kathy
