I visited Longwood Gardens on Friday afternoon. The weather in our area was perfect: Autumn coolness and bright sunshine combined with glorious, colorful foliage. We decided to sit down and enjoy the fountain show. The time came when the music and fountains began to soar simultaneously. I was glad I had sunglasses on because I began to weep. The beauty of the classical music combined with the spectacular fountain show reminded me of heaven. I imagined how marvelous heaven will be. The sights, the sound of millions of souls singing praises to the Father, the Lamb, and the Holy Spirit. If earthly man can create such beauty, can you only imagine what God can do?
Here is a clip of a great song. I have this CD and I just love to listen to this song.

I loved the fountain show.

It is an amazing place to visit. We are planning an overnight visit in December. We will walk around the lit gardens in the evening, and then when the conservatory is a little less crowded, walk through the Christmas display. I’m looking forward to it. Thanks Anne.

Was about ten or so in years when I first went to Longwood with my mother (strike me dead should I ever call her Mom). I’ve been going every few years since for the past seventy one years. I can still shut my eyes and smell the aroma in the Conservatory. It’s amazing the things that stick with you. Now, the guy I met yesterday in Cardio Fitness, what was his name?

Isn’t the conservatory atmosphere glorious? We always comment on the rush of warmth too, since we go more times in the winter than in the heat. It’s delightful to leave the winter outside the glass. They have redone everything. It will be open in the next few months. I also used to feel that way about the Philadelphia Flower Show when it was in the Civic Center. The smell of the flowering Spring Bulbs was amazing. I never liked the show as much in the ??? and now, I am having the same problem as you described in Cardio Fitness…I can’t remember the name of the building….ah, came to me, the Convention Center.
