Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In honor of my grandfather, half-Irish, on his mother’s side. She was born in Galway County, Ireland.

The clover isn’t out yet. A few more days of warmth and the shamrocks will begin to emerge. I always find a four-leaf clover or more in the yard.

He was a nice looking bloke

Thanks Joanne, I think so too! He had the good looks of his Irish mother. His eyes were a sparkling blue and never dimmed, even into his 90’s.

Wonderful that you have Irish blood 🙂 And Shamrock is lovely when it comes out. And it sounds like you have the luck of the Irish too, if you are fining four leaf clovers 🙂 xx 💚☘🍀 Love the photo of your Grandfather xx

He was such a handsome guy. He had sandy colored hair, but my grandmother said when he grew a mustache it was red. I have a grandson with that beautiful auburn hair that he inherited from both sides of his family.

Our Golden anniversary will be October 2027…not too far away. How can that be? So many years and it flew by like a fairy wish on the wind.

I know. Time has just flown. Congratulations, too, on your long marriage of togetherness.
The older generations told us when we were young to make the most of every day as soon it will be gone.
No truer words, when we now look back. . Where did the time go? 🤔😍💕

Yes, every day seems to fly by on wings now. We enjoy our time together, he retired in December, and I love the time we have to do things together now.
