I like to include new ideas on my blog. This method of gardening seems to defeat drought conditions. It’s worth a look considering much of the US experienced severe drought this past growing season.
It might be a long way until Spring, but it’s always wise to come up with a gardening plan during the winter months.

I hugled a raspberry bed last year as a trial. So far I am impressed.
Thanks so much for commenting about Hugelkultur. This was the first I had heard about it. It sounds like such a wise idea. I’m so glad to have input from someone who has tried it. Thanks again. 🙂
It has started getting more exposure in the last year or two. I heard about it from Paul Wheaton discussing it on various podcasts. He is knowledgeable plus pretty funny & “enthusiastic”. More here if you are interested. http://www.richsoil.com/paul-wheaton.jsp
