“Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.” ~ John Milton
I recently, quite by accident, stumbled upon a blog post where the author decried the many people who “followed” his blog. How sad—other than the spam he mentioned, and even after reading what he called a “humorous” explanation, I can’t understand why any blogger would not want his or her blog read or followed.
Please know, I feel quite the opposite…I DELIGHT in the comments fellow bloggers and others leave on my blog. I cherish the “Likes” you are kind enough to give me. To all who visit these pages and follow my blog; I thank you with all of my heart. Blessings on your day!
“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.” (Philippians 2:14-15).
“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.” ~Henry Ward Beecher
Very nice post !. Gratitude is something we all need to cultivate- if someone thanks me for something I do, I feel all warm inside and if someone visits my blog I feel on top of the world and the joy is multiplied a 100 times over is someone is kind enough to comment.

Nicely put. Too many people run from gratitude, as if it were a scary beast out to devour them. Being grateful should be second nature, and, as you suggest, it lifts the grateful up as well.

In Psalms(I think it’s Psalms) there is a verse that says:
“…This is the day the Lord has made,I will rejoice & be glad in it…”
Every day, before I start my morning prayers, I proclaim this. I am so thankful & blessed that GOD has given me the gift of a new day! 8 0 D

Thank you for the gratitude post. My husband and I are learning this the hard way. Our son is battling stage 4-5 cancer. We are finding joy in his courage, healing in extended family relationships that I had not thought possible, and an expanded prayer support that could never have been dreamed of. Each day one simply walks through the grief and is reminded that this is the price of loving and being loved. Your blog is a piece of sunshine in this difficult time.

a wise man(or woman) delights in the company & companionship of others, while a fool shuns both.
I doubt that you will find that in the Holy Bible…every now & again, sayings such as that will pop into my head from out of nowhere.
As humans, we are social creatures that long for the company & companionship of others…
It has been said that a person who is lonely, will shun the company of others, as I did in my youth.
Though I do not have a blog of my own, I have a few blogs that I frequent from time to time, this being one of them,
I am honored, lucky, blessed, humbled,….to have the friends I have & I cherish the friendship of all of them,
If you want to be happy for all your life, be a friend to someone who has but a few…
for to receive a friend, first you must become a friend.
A very wise & honorable man once said:
“Do you have but 1 friend?
That is not enough.
Do you have but 1 enemy?
That is too many.”
I apologize, for I do not remember the author’s name who said that.
TY Timeless Lady for being the great friend you are to me.
May GOD bless you & your family always.

Hi, I wanted you to see why I have such an interest in all your flower crafts so I hope these pictures are OK to send you. One of the reasons I grow herbs and ferns is that they dry and press well. Have you had success drying the Evening Primrose? I rarely get a blossom I can use and I love its sunny yellow. The Penny Black book I just recently acquired is her Cards and Collages. Love her work! Thank you for adding us to your prayer journal. This is a most difficult path. Mary

Hi Mary, I don’t see any pictures in this post, but please do send them, or I can probably get them through email. . Yes, I like ferns, but they always lose their pretty green color and turn beige for me. I am probably using the wrong variety. I am not sure if I’ve pressed Evening Primrose, if so, I don’t remember right now. I have a Penny Black book and I LOVE it. Her work is amazing. I love the way she combines fabrics with her pressed flower art.
