I love Salada’s Lemon Lively green tea blend. A little honey and a teabag in boiling water bring me a few moments of peace.
I also use the tea packets to share seeds with relatives and friends. Early this morning I was at my desk, wrapping some new varieties from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds in foil and inserting them in tea packets, to give to my sister later today.
I love products that have packaging that can be recycled. At this time of year I save salad containers and other clear plastics to use as miniature greenhouses for seed starting. Gardening is expensive and it helps to find good ways to cut corners by recycling. Happy Gardening…Spring is on its way.
Another wonderful idea. I re-use and recycle as much as I can and very little gets thrown out in my household. Spring is definitely here as the birds have changed their song and I’ve seen the first crocusses out in my front drive and some daffodils have already flowered, as I’ve seen on my way to work! 💐💐💐

I will have to go on a crocus walk today and see if their foliage is beginning to show. We are probably a few weeks from bloom, but it always gives me a thrill to see the leaves pushing through the cold ground.

I am wondering how I missed this post ! Must have been on one of my “off days”.
Great ideas and as you so rightly say, gardening is an expensive hobby.

I feel great physically Susie. There are some in my family who are going through hard times, and you know when you are the mother…this hurts you just as bad. Thanks for the prayers. Sometimes we need protection from people who the world views as something other than what they are…keep praying for us Susie.

I am going to pray for your family too and all your troubles.
Cast your cares upon Him, my friend.
” Oh what things we often forfeit,
Oh what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer.”
Trust in God.

Hi Susie, I know this is off topic, and after I am sure you have seen this comment, I will delete it. I have started one avocado seed in water. I was wondering if you started yours. We can have a post together and see how each of our little “babies” do. Let me know if you want to take part in the post this week. Kathy

I started my avocado pit in some water…if you have one, maybe you can do the same and we will compare notes and see how they are doing. I am thinking of also getting another one this week and trying to start it in soil…it will be fun to see which one will grow the fastest, if they grow at all!

It would also be fun if we could get some other bloggers to take part in our experiment. I decided this would be a good time of year to start it because if it sprouts, Spring is around the corner, and the new plant, or plants, can move out on the porch and have the benefit of the heat early on.

Yes, agree. Do you know any others with interest in gardening ?

My most popular post has been about gardening, so hopefully we can get a few others to take part…if not it will be you and I my friend, and that is a good thing too!

Also…Susie, I so appreciate the prayer. I also pray for blog friends. I feel these are the purest of my prayers. There is nothing more to them than me wanting God’s best for them and for his blessings to be upon them.
