Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, is having its yearly Chrysanthemum Festival. As always, the conservatory is filled with beautiful flowers and amazing feats of training the chrysanthemums to grow into unique shapes.
Here’s a close-up of one of the techniques they use.
There are shapes of all kinds to marvel over and enjoy. Most of these are created with only one chrysanthemum plant. Amazing!
Whatever the season, Longwood Gardens has something outstanding to enjoy.
I love Longwood.

Thanks so much. I am only just seeing your comment. Another blogging friend told me that comments she was making were not showing up. For some reason the WordPress system threw several of the comments other bloggers had made into my Spam folder. I went back and checked all of them after Susie let me know something was amiss and yours was one that somehow was in that folder. Thanks so much for the comment. I will be sure to check that folder every day to make sure it doesn’t continue to happen, and I am also informing WordPress about the problem.

You are the second person who told me that. I wonder if it is my account or if it is a WordPress issue. I should check my Spam folder.

I think it is a WordPress issue. I take part in challenges where I create a pingback, and a few of mine didn’t show up on the challenge page. I read the comment section, and it seems it is happening to many people. A program through WordPress is deciding people are spam. I will check my spam folder every day or so to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Thanks so much.

Mums are a new favorite for me. In Florida there is always color but when we are in the mountains, once fall fades, mums are a cheerful sight.

They are the last holdout in our area for flowers that bloom through the Autumn. I have some marigolds this year that are still holding on too. Other than that everything is just about finished for this year.

These photos are so very beautiful. Chicago IL has the Botanical gardens but this seems so much more beautiful.

Thanks so much! I’d love to go over all the country to see all the botanical gardens. This beautiful garden has extensive outdoor areas too, but I love the conservatory best.

Yes, they certainly were beautiful and so fascinating. I can’t imagine the patience it must take to coax them into those patterns.
