“As of the end of this month (and 2,000 Daily Prompts, 380 Photo Challenges, 260 Community Pools, and 100 First Fridays later), we will no longer publish new posts, prompts, or challenges on this site.” ~Daily Post
I’m disappointed that WordPress has stopped their daily/weekly challenges. I have met many of you, read your blogs, and followed you through these challenges, and I’m so grateful for that opportunity. I am hoping to find more challenges through your blogs and thought I would start one of my own that will keep all of us looking up. I’m challenging myself to post a weather vane photograph every Wednesday through June of 2019. I hope many of you will join me and leave a link or pingback in my post comments to your post and photo. Thanks!

wow – fun idea and I look forward to following along – and I hope to join in a few times – but I hardly ever see weather vanes – like almost never. But now the challenge is to look out for some – keep you posted and i will tag along when I find them – and again, fun idea.
and woof to the vane here – so fun

well I have always known there were a lot – and to be honest – I do not need “more” – I actually only did the daily post weekly photo challenge (and it was less and less – but still loved the ams and professionals that joined in and it was cool) – and I never did the writing prompts ever – so for me – I am more going to miss the daily post’s presence and posts from others.
I have my hands full with enough prompts and sadly, I cannot get to two that I like. The sunday photo fiction and what pegam saw are two top ones that I am trying to get to –
anyhow, I think others who used the prompts will need to look for more and I will just miss the community from the Daily Post pivot – does that make sense?

and seriously, I do not see hardly any vanes at all – do you live in a rural area? There are not very many in my city –

I am a scavenger at heart, I ‘beachcomb’ even in the woods…always looking for something to use in a creation…I’ve found it is causing me to stoop, so I’ve changed my combing for birds and things that are UP.

That’s why in Sanibel, FL, they actually call it the Sanibel Stoop…I would fit right in.

I live in a town…near Philadelphia. There are rural areas within driving distance, but I live near Rowan University…so there is not much in the way of rural for several miles.

well thanks – and now I am curious to see if I see any in the next coming year – I will post if/when I do.
Have a blessed day

This sounds like fun. I remember seeing a number of interesting weather vanes on Long Island. I have not noticed a single one in North Carolina! There must be some here. We live out from town and don’t often go down residential streets, so viewing is probably limited.

I’ve seen some interesting ones also…now I need to remember just where they were. ;D

I will begin looking for them. I am sure they are around somewhere. This will be fun.

I see more than I realized were around now. On just my walk today I saw two on roofs in the neighborhood. That makes the next two weeks easy for me!
