I’ve loved the tones of The Carpenters for decades, and they don’t disappoint in this version of ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.’ Fifty years ago, on Christmas Day, I received a record player and an album of the Carpenter’s titled ‘Close to You.’ How has time gone by so quickly?
I still have the album. It’s easy now to bring up the old songs sung by the Carpenters on tablet, Fire television or computer, but holding the old album in my hands takes me back to when I unwrapped it all those years ago.

Hope you have clear skies and will be able to see the “Christmas star” later this evening. I was right, our skies are overcast so I won’t in all probability be able to witness this event. Enjoy the view and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Hope Santa is good to you. 🙂

It was overcast here too. The weather forecast says we might be able to glimpse a bit of the same tonight before 7:00 p.m.

According to Yahoo weather, we are suppose to have cloudless skies around 7 p.m. So I will cross my fingers and hope they accurate. This phenomenon probably won’t happen again in our lifetime – I turn 70 in a few months.

The weather is getting cloudy again. It was nice early in the day. Now the wind is kicking up and the sky is grey. I’m still hoping….I hope you can see it from your home.
