Phloral Arrangement – IAVOM Vintage Vase

The Grape Hyacinths were lovely this year. They grew tall enough to be clipped and brought in for a flower arrangement. When I created the bouquet, I added Creeping Jenny. The addition of these small pieces of foliage was the right choice for the pint-sized vase.

While walking through a local Goodwill store, my eyes fell on this vibrant yellow vase adorned with a bright blue flower. I was close to being certain it was vintage when I spotted it. Sure enough, when I brought it home and looked up the writing on the back side, Pat Png. Opco Zano, the estimated date of manufacture was the 1950’s. Even better, when I clicked on images, I found that the vase comes in a variety of colors and with different flowers on the front. I will keep an eye out for similar vases.

Thanks to Rambling in the Garden for hosting the IAVOM challenge.

I can see with your sideboard that you are into vintage furniture, and the vase suits the theme perfectly. The blue of the hyacinths goes very nicely in the vase.

    1. Thanks so much. I’m lucky, a grocery store I go to frequently has a thrift store next to it. It’s convenient to run in and do a very quick walk through. Usually, I find nothing to buy, but this little vase is a treasure.

  2. I am late catching up this week and it is soon Monday again – sorry! Muscari do so well in a vase and often develop such long stems, don’t they? Your new thrift store vase is perfect for them 😊

      1. AS you know, I tend to blitz replies on Monday and then have a break from responding for a few days – even Monday evening comments might not be replied to till much later. I have learned that there are other things besides blogging!
