Plants – Bonsai Trees

Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania has an excellent display of Bonsai Trees in their conservatory. I’ve included a few pictures of this beautiful art form on the blog today. My favorites are the plants trained to appear as a small grove of trees in a forest. Lovely!

  1. I was just thinking- each of us is made in God’s image. Perhaps we are miniature versions of Him- perhaps we are his bonsai. Much care and patient effort have been put into creating each of us.( “For we are wonderfully and fearfully made”).
When I saw the pictures of your beautiful bonsai and the bonsai forests, I thought of people and families put together by God so we could live showing out our genetic heritage which came from Christ in our daily lives.
I love your photos and the train of thought these pictures took me to.
Thanks, Kathy. Have a blessed Sunday !

  2. Just beautiful. We go to the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) show every year and they always have a staggering display of bonsai. I have tried growing bonsai many times with no success – such a shame, think what amazing scene setters they would make for my blog! Best wishes 🙂
