My backyard in the noon hour of November 15th. A very early and heavy snowfall for southern New Jersey. They say it will turn to rain in the late afternoon. We’ll see! This post is part of Skywatch.

I do wish Mother Nature would be more even in her largess. We could sure use some of that precipitation here in California and I know other parts of the country would love it to go elsewhere than where they are.

Yes, I wish California would get some moisture. Stay safe out there.

We had a cool front move in to central Florida with rain this morning. It’s getting cooler this evening but nothing like up north. Saw my first sighting of socks and sandels today. That’s a Florida cold spell for you.

I turned to rain here late afternoon and overnight. It’s pretty much disappeared except for a few piles in cool spots and from shoveling. It really caught everyone unaware.

The first snowfall for sure is pretty! It brings lots of expectations.

It would be nice to have a white Christmas, at least a little bit, nothing that will mess up anyone’s travel plans.

Grandson David messaged a short video of snow falling on his campus in Bronxville. I enjoyed it vicariously.

It was beautiful and the best news is it is in and out quickly…only a few piles left from shoveling.

I’m glad your snow was beautiful. We just found out daughter Kate was hit by a snowplow this morning in NJ. She is OK, but her car is not. I’ll bet her love of snow has gone down quite a bit.

Oh Anne, I am so sorry to hear that, but very glad to hear she is okay. The papers are full of New Jersey not being ready for the snow. We really weren’t ready…my husband, usually so well-prepared wore normal work shoes, slip-ons that are a light mesh fabric, and ended up shoveling the sidewalks in front of the center stores in those shoes. He was soaked. I wish I had thought to take his boots to him and scolded him for not calling me. Again…so glad Kate is okay.

Thank you. Kate rented a car today so she can here her son David sing in a presentation of Messiah tomorrow. Oops. It’s past midnight, so the concert is today.
