The antidote to the windy weather of yesterday was to take a morning walk around the yard and gather Spring flowers for IAVOM.
I have placed a few of the flowers blooming in my garden inside the vase. The inner petals of the tulip are gorgeous. What a sanctuary for a bee! If I were small and had wings, I would dive in after the pollen and buzz in delight. There is nothing ho-hum about these beautiful colors and forms.
Other flowers in the vase are Iris, Bleeding Heart, and Vinca.
I keep hearing the children’s chorus, This Little Light of Mine, as I gaze at the bright area around the tulip’s stigma and anthers.
What a great combination of blooms. I love the little vase and the props, too. Happy IAVOM!

Pretty vase, the birds are singing, the clocks are turned and the bees are enjoying the flowers. Life I good.

It is Spring…Hallelujah. Everything is beginning to really grow fast. A wonderful time of year for sure.

oh the tulip is lovely but I love purple iris..I have had one plant with three blooms..big..really big..Spring just has all kinds of surprises

I love the scent of the purple iris. They look like they smell, a deep grape. I always cut a few to bring inside to enjoy.

Isn’t the light lovely. I always try to follow it, a bit like my kitty. At night we always turn a lot of light on too.
