          1. yes – I am familiar with those usual trials and tribulations – and problem solving – and God is so faithful. I have been enjoying some Chuck Swindoll messages and Dr. Hubbard sermons (older material but – wait for it – timeless!!)
and the fortifying has been huge…

            1. I like older things too, mixed in with some new that I trust. One thing that concerns me now is that people creating sermons with AI using well-known voices. I only listen to sermons of Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, even some pastors of today if I know it is really their own website.

              1. Yes, the AI voiceovers is scary.
And side note – there is a blogger that comes in my feed and I wonder if they are completely AI – or if they use AI to make all of their posts – I just started realizing it in the last week.
anyhow, I used to listen to Charles Stanley on the radio (during commutes in the 1990s) and I sure liked how he uses “lists” with his teaching points. My husband REALLY enjoys Andy Stanley’s messages (still) and while I know Billy Graham was amazing and had a following – I find it difficult to listen to his material – (makes me sleepy) which is okay because we all have different messages and people that speak to us.
Have you ever heard of BBN?
Well that is where I access Hubbard material.
They also have guest preachers in the “conference pulpit” menu option – and that can be fun to listen to someone new (and usually someone from a long time ago = like Warren Wiersbe)

hope your day is going well!
and let’s keep each other in prayer this week!

                1. I meant to also say when I first replied that Chuck Swindoll was an author my father read quite often. I will check out that link today. I haven’t heard Andy Stanley’s messages. I will search him out. I’m hoping to use the Rose of Sharon tree for my Friday Flowers post.

                    1. I saw a link that said music near the top, clicked on it, and it was lovely. No coincidence, after the first song concluded the next song was ‘God Will Take Care of You,’ a song I sing to myself quite often. Still an avalanche of small and big worries. One son and his family in Corolla, NC now on vacation. He didn’t mention evacuating so I guess they feel safe in the house they are in. The other son had a tree fall yesterday, rather large, but no one hurt. He is using a chainsaw to cut it up probably even as I write this…I know it happens to everyone…these are just small things. God will take care of us.

                    2. thanks for sharing examples of some of the little trials – and whew – no weapon formed against them will prosper! and glad nobody was hurt from the tree – and from the stormy weather being on the east coast!
And I do not know that song – but I will look it up. and just the title made my heart feel full:
God Will Take Care of You
                      ahh
The other thing about BBN, when I was going through some layered trials – you know the ones where you pray on the hour – and where you trust God and have faith – but need that christian fuel of teaching and Christian songs – well BBN was life changing. Because guess what else they have? They have stations in different languages and some of the songs I heard on the asian channels or spanish one – were so amazing – culture reach but also soothing and fortifying.

                    3. And my husband just told me that Andy Stanley has a recent podcast where he chatted about his dad and some of their faith connections.
I am going to listen it later – and I will share the link – but I instantly thought of our convo about the Stanley boys (who are such gifts to this world)

                    4. And here is a link to a song that my sister sent me years ago. She is often on the fence with her faith – and so i pray for her regularly – and when she sent me this song – it was nice that it was from her.
but it is also is a special song…

Open the Eyes of My Heart (Duffley – a young blind boy sang with such fervor)
