Lucky me! The flowers are blooming in such abundance that is a quick study to take my clippers, and circle the yard, snipping and snapping the stems of whatever takes my fancy. Plopped into a simple hyacinth vase, with a wiry bird standing guard, and voila, an IAVOM arrangement is born. These days are the best in my New Jersey gardens. We are in a bit of a drought, but with watchful watering, everything is still in bloom. I sure wish I could water as fast as I created the bouquet. It can be very time-consuming, but it’s so worth it. Thanks for Rambling in the Garden for hosting the challenge. Wishing all a flowery, lovely week.
The backdrop is a windowsill and sheer curtains; one of the best places to get the bright diffused light I need to make the bouquet shine. The flowers I used are: Mr. Lincoln Rose, Angel-Wing Begonia, a white Echinacea, white Yarrow, a sprig of Lady in Red Salvia, maroon Cosmos, and my favorite buttercream Nasturtiums.

Bright and colorful..The wire bird is nice too

Thanks so much. I love that crazy bird, but he is so light, and catches anything that goes by his perching places, it’s good he is wire…he hits the floor a lot.

The window setting is so lovely, and the balance of the red and yellow is very pleasant. I know what you mean about the time-consuming task of watering: We had almost no rain in May, after a very wet and warm April. And now we’re back to cool and just enough rain. I hope the summer conditions you desire for yourself and your garden will occur. Happy “vase day.”

How different our weather is…..cool and rainy and waiting for that abundance of summer flowers. Lovely when you can just go out and clip what suits your fancy. Love the summery colors.

Thanks so much…everything comes into bloom in June here. We had a very hard, snowy winter, but still did not get enough moisture to alleviate the drought conditions. I hear thunder and see storm clouds right now. Hoping the wind does no damage, but hoping for a good steady drenching.
